Updating the Pangeo Working Groups

On our website, we currently list four different working groups

1. Data Working Group

• Schedule: Every other Wednesday at 6p GMT
• Conferencing: Zoom

2. Machine Learning Working Group

• Schedule: First Monday of the month at 4p GMT
• Conferencing: Google Hangouts
• Notes: link

3. Education Working Group

• Schedule: (Schedule TBD)
• Conferencing: whereby.com/pangeo
• Notes: GitHub

4. Cloud Operations Working Group

• Schedule: Second Monday of the month at 4:30p GMT
• Conferencing: whereby.com/pangeo
• Notes: link

I am not sure how active these groups are. In particular, we have not heard much from the Data WG and the Education WG in a while. Their notes indicate that they have not met in months.

Let’s discuss how to evolve these working groups to match the current direction of Pangeo development.
