Dear all, the Pangeo session for EGU22 has been now officially accepted (ESSI 2.6): CO Meeting Organizer EGU22

The other conveners and I will probably be busy setting up a proper visual/poster like way of promoting; however in the mean time its good if the members of our community (yeah, you!) start spreading the word!

The session is a two way path where Pangeo gains more visibility as a real, modern set of tools, but also its an opportunity for you and other members or users to showcase their works, so keep calm and make it viral :smiley:

Hi everyone, EGU22 submitting deadline approaches!

Would you like to share your pangeo (xarray, dask, …) work in EGU22?

  • Description of the session - ESSI 2.6 - Pangeo: The Modern Solution to Challenges in Earth & Space Science Using a Community Driven Approach
  • Abstract itself is short (100-500 words), prepare it in plain text & copy and past to submitting form!
  • Click this link to submit your abstract before 12th Jan 2022 13:00 CET
    - ESSI 2.6 - abstract submission
  • Cost for submission: a membership cost of EGU (about 20 euros ) & 45 Euros of submitting fee to be payed upon submitting the abstract.
  • When/Where EGU22 happens?: hybrid meeting with an in-person component in Vienna Austria 3-8 April 2022.
    Our Pangeo session is ‘in-person’ session but EGU comity gave us following instruction;
    ’ Please do not reject abstracts from authors that indicate their intention to participate virtually. As these abstracts are flagged, we will try to find a solution for them.’

Hi everyone EGU22 submitting deadline has extended for 2 more days

UPDATE : Due to the continuing difficulties that many people in the EGU community, all around the world, are experiencing, the abstract submission deadline for EGU22 is being extended to Friday, 14 January at 13.00 CET

Hi everyone, due to the COVID situation, EGU22 will be postponed to 23-27Mai, and late abstract will be accepted till 26 January 2022, at 13.00 CET . There will be no more poster presentation, and all will be hybrid presentations of ‘ short orals ’ Feel free to ping us (@tinaok , @mechev ) if you think of submitting your work to ESSI 2.6 - Pangeo: The Modern Solution to Challenges in Earth & Space Science Using a Community Driven Approach
