Pangeo at SciPy

Is anyone planning to attend SciPy this summer and interested in representing Pangeo during the SciPy 2026 Tools Plenary?

I’m interested in repping Pangeo! Though not really sure what that entails

Amazing, thanks @NickHodgskin! I’ll send you a DM on Zulip to get your email address for an introduction to the session organizers

Hey all,

The slides for the Tools plenary are due by July 10. The goal of the Tools plenary is to use a few slides and give a quick (2-3 minutes!) overview of the most important developments (focussing on the last year of development).

Since Pangeo is more a community than a specific software project, I would like to give an update on the developments in the ecosystem as a whole (i.e., touching on major developments in multiple software projects that we rely on - focussing on projects that don’t already have a slot in the plenary).

If you’re thinking “oo, you should definitely mention x development!” then please let me know. I have ideas - but also want to make sure I’m not missing anything.

Thanks @NickHodgskin! That sounds great to me!

If you’re willing, I’d appreciate if you’d mention the Pangeo showcase series and the opportunity to sign up via the website - Showcase | Pangeo.
