We are hiring a Software Engineer I at the Oceanography Section of NCAR. The incumbent will primarily provide software engineering support for the development of Python toolkits and model enhancements to facilitate regional ocean modeling, data assimilation, and post-processing efforts. The work is an opportunity to collaborate on translating climate and ocean biogeochemistry from world-class, state-of the art global models to understand regional impacts, including in vulnerable and historically understudied regions and for purposes of climate intervention (marine carbon dioxide removal).
