Hi All!!
The location and date for SciPy 2024 has been announced - Tacoma, Washington July 8-14!!
The call for proposals is now open, and there is a Earth, Geo, Ocean, Atmosphere track that many folks in this community may be interested in submitting to. Please check out the other sessions as well. This is a great opportunity to connect with the broader scientific python community, as well as continue to grow the Pangeo community. The sprints are always a fun time, as there are typically pangeo-oriented small groups that form to work on contributions too.
I am looking forward to this year’s conference, and hopefully will see many of you all there!

Thanks for the reminders @mgrover1, super excited this will be in Tacoma! We are planning another Xarray Tutorial for SciPy 2024. A draft proposal is linked below based on input from co-organizers last year.
We would welcome any comments on ideas for content and outline for this tutorial as well as volunteers to help organize - please feel free to add your name and contact info to the draft doc below, which identifies different roles needed to make this a successful event!
