Abstract:
After more than a year of development and including contributions from more than 30 contributors, Zarr-Python 3.0 was released in January. This version brings full support for the Zarr v3 specification, including the powerful new chunk-sharding extension, major performance improvements through asynchronous I/O and threaded parallelism, and a modernized, extensible codebase. In this showcase, we’ll dive into many of the improvements included in the 3.0 release and discuss how they can be used to help accelerate data analytics and machine learning workflows in the cloud. We’ll also brief overview of the post 3.0 roadmap for the Zarr-Python project.
