DMI is on the lookout for a brilliant machine learning scientist to join our Weather Research Department and drive innovation in weather forecasting using machine learning (in particular you will be building on GitHub - mllam/neural-lam: Neural Weather Prediction for Limited Area Modeling and GitHub - ecmwf/anemoi-models). If you’re a mastermind with a Master/PhD in applied mathematics, physics, meteorology, or data science, you’re fluent in scientific programming (Python, Julia, maybe a hint of Fortran) and you have experience with modelling physical systems with machine learning, we want to hear from you!
You will join a keen team building the frontier in machine learning based weather forecasting together with our international colleagues, and through this have a direct impact on predicting extreme weather events, supporting the green transition, and ensuring community safety.
