Submit an Abstract to AGU Fall Meeting 2020 IN027: Lessons Learned on Supporting Analysis Ready Data (ARD) with Analytics Optimized Data Stores/Services (AODS) in Collaborative Analysis Platforms!

Are you excited about the potential of analytics-optimized data stores to deliver previously unattainable scales of geoscience?

We are writing to invite abstract submissions to AGU 2020 session about analysis-ready data: IN027 - Lessons Learned on Supporting Analysis Ready Data (ARD) with Analytics Optimized Data Stores/Services (AODS) in Collaborative Analysis Platforms.

The session brings together remote sensing experts, data scientists and developers to share innovations in the field of geospatial data publication.

The deadline for abstract submissions is July 29, 2020 11:59 p.m., ET.

Session Overview:

Earth Sciences Data Systems have begun to formally support Analysis Ready Data (ARD), which facilitates more immediate multi-sensor and integrative analysis. ARDs address the data wrangling, re-gridding, filtering, and other transformations needed to easily perform multi-sensor, multi-variate, and multi-temporal data. ARDs, along with Analytics Optimized Data Services (AODSes), support the fast analysis by leveraging metadata and storage reorganization to perform efficient filtering and subsetting. This session explores recent trends and lessons learned for preparing both ARDs as well as steps that need to be taken to formally support their fast analysis in AODSes. Examples include analysis steps and procedures to decouple ARDs from AODS, socializing ARDs to scientists and algorithm developers, challenges in enhancing existing platforms to support ARD/AODS, cost implications of various AODS approaches, cloud collocation with data lakes, interoperable and standards-based approaches to AODS, subsetting, and its collaborative use.

We hope to see you there!
