I am coordinating the planning for a virtual data helpdesk at the AMS annual meeting in January 2021.
Would someone from the PANGEO community be willing to contribute or point me to an existing tutorial video and/or one pager highlighting the PANGEO community and resources, similar to those found further down on the AMS help desk web page and as described in the "AMS21 Virtual Data Help Desk Volunteer Guidelines document? It would be great to include a PANGEO contribution on the data help desk platform.
Additionally, if members of the PANGEO community could monitory the twitter hashtag #DataHelpDesk from Jan 11 - Jan 15, 2021 to answer any PANGEO related questions that come in during the annual meeting, that would be helpful!
Hi @dcschus and welcome to the Pangeo forum. Sorry it has taken so long to get a response. The holidays, and now current events, have been a distraction.
If it’s not too late to add them to your page, I’ll attempt to provide what you’re looking for.
Unfortunately, we don’t have a single, recent, concise tutorial video for Pangeo. If I had to pick one, I would probably go with this one of mine from JupyerCon: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lg7-qi4dEZ8&t=450s
Thanks for providing these resources. The bit.ly/DataHelpAMS21 web page has been updated to include the JupyterCon video and link to the “Cloud Native Repositories for Big Scientific Data” paper. In general, if anyone is interested in answering data related questions or promoting PANGEO resources at the AMS 2021 annual meeting this week, please submit tweets highlighting those resources with the hashtags #DataHelpDesk#AMS2021.
