Clark Labs and the Graduate School of Geography at Clark University seeks a research associate to advance projects focused on 1) mapping croplands and crop types in smallholder-dominated agricultural systems (led by Dr. Lyndon Estes) and 2) the expansion of aquaculture systems (led by Dr. Ron Eastman) across the global tropics. The successful candidate will have expertise in Earth Observation (EO) and machine learning, particularly in semantic segmentation using deep learning, as well as strong skills in programming (open source required; python preferred), experience in processing large volumes of EO data in cloud computing environments, and the ability to analyze, synthesize, and clearly present the data in oral and written formats for a broad diversity of audiences.
