GeoZarr for EOPF is a fruit of past discussions about Zarr for rasters https://discourse.pangeo.io/t/example-which-highlights-the-limitations-of-netcdf-style-coordinates-for-large-geospatial-rasters plus a good deal of follow-up discussions on GitHub - zarr-developers/geozarr-spec: GeoZarr defines geospatial conventions for storing multidimensional georeferenced grids using the Zarr format. The webinar would be a good opportunity to get feedback from some of the many contributors.
