WxData 2.3 has been released on conda-forge and pypi.
conda install wxdata (conda-forge) OR pip install wxdata (pypi)
WxData 2.3 has several new end-to-end weather data clients geared for use in automated Python scripts.
WxData (as of version 2.3) consists of end-to-end clients for 20 weather models (& re-maps the GRIB keys into plain-language), USDA/FEMS Fuels Data, METAR Observations, NEXRAD II Radar Data, Observed Sounding Data & 2 API Interfaces (Open-Meteo & Air Now).
WxData also has tools to help users query, transform and fill gaps in weather data as well as help users set up automated workflows in Python.
These are the new clients found in WxData 2.3:
- Canadian Global Deterministic Prediction System (GDPS)
- Canadian Regional Deterministic Prediction System (RDPS)
- Canadian High Resolution Deterministic Prediction System (HRDPS)
- Canadian Global Ensemble Prediction System (GEPS)
- Canadian Seasonal to Inter-annual Prediction System (CanSIPS) Forecasts
- Canadian Seasonal to Inter-annual Prediction System (CanSIPS) Hindcasts
The cansips_hindcast() data client automates the methodology described here
