Travel Support for AGU Presenters in IN008: FAIR and Reproducible Geoscience

We are excited to announce travel support opportunities for researchers presenting in our AGU Fall Meeting 2025 session:

:satellite: IN008 – Advancing Reproducible and FAIR Science: Tools, Practices, and Incentives

This session focuses on efforts to make geoscience more reproducible, transparent, and FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable). We welcome contributions across the spectrum—from case studies that reproduce or replicate prior work, to tools and workflows that support transparency, to discussions of the cultural and technical challenges of doing reproducible science. Whether you’re presenting a new method or reflecting on what didn’t work, we want to hear from you!

:graduation_cap: Funding available:

  • $2500 if this is your only AGU session
  • $1000 if you are also presenting in other sessions

Please note: Funding is available only to participants from U.S.-based institutions.

To apply for travel support, you must submit an abstract to IN008. AGU allows first authors to submit up to two contributed abstracts if they are to sessions led by different sections, so dual submission is possible.

To clarify, who is providing the funding? Is it the organizations of the convenors (USC and NAU), or another organization?

Ultimately NSF via a grant awarded to USC and NAU.
