Maxar’s WeatherDesk team is looking to hire a PhD level climate scientist to join our fully remote team of computer scientists, data scientists, meteorologists and forecasters! Our tech stack is fully in AWS, primarily python with the typical data science packages, but since we’re weather we also have some fortran gurus and grib2 experts. For an example of the kind of work we do, we have a case study about porting the FV3/GFS weather model to AWS to run it ~2x as fast as NOAA: Maxar Case Study
