Anyone here familiar with resen, from another EarthCube project? From the description, it seems very simliar to BinderHub.
As I write this, Google has yet to index a single page that contains both “resen” and “binderhub”. I guess this will be the first.
I had never heard of resen before this. I am not aware of anyone who uses it.
It seems to be built on JupyterHub, which is the same foundation as Pangeo’s cloud hubs.
I’m not sure Binder is the right comparison for Resen. Binder / BinderHub is aimed at sharing demonstrations, not providing a persistent workspace for regular scientific research.
The focus on portability (run locally or run in cloud) reminds me of Gigantum:
