Can someone kindly tell me how to download OISST monthly sst data? I have tried a python script and wget but it doesn’t work.
I’m not sure about monthly OISST data, but in case it’s helpful we recently added daily OISST CDR data to Planetary Computer in COG format.

What is the wget command you are using, and what error messages are you seeing?
I think these data are also available in the NCAR RDA dataset " NOAA NCEP Optimum Interpolation Sea Surface Temperature Analysis", NCAR RDA Dataset ds277.0 as an alternate option.
I just tried
wget ftp://ftp.cdc.noaa.gov/Datasets/noaa.oisst.v2/sst.mnmean.nc
currently at 494 time steps
