HI folks,
we have an interesting open search at the Assistant Professor level at UC Berkeley that I hope some of you will consider applying to.
The search is open in both departments, and thus is very open regarding disciplinary interests, but there is a focus on data-intensive research, interpreted broadly. In particular, note that software and data products are considered “first class citizens” in the application packet, with the opportunity for you to submit for each a standalone 2-page document explaining their intellectual contribution and impact. Hopefully this is a better way of giving space to those types of work, which I know many here will have in their portfolio (and I’m happy for feedback as to the effectiveness of this approach).
