I’m an Assistant Professor at the University of South Florida College of Marine Science in St. Petersburg, Florida. For my research, I utilize data from autonomous platforms such as robotic profiling floats and Saildrones equipped with biogeochemical sensors to observe the ocean carbon cycle. To date, much of this work has been in the Tropical Pacific and in the Southern Ocean as part of the SOCCOM project.

I’m here because I am currently building my research group and trying to start off on the right foot by transitioning my code from MATLAB to python and implementing version control. I’m interested in using cloud computing in the future. I also teach an Ocean Biogeochemical Dynamics Lab using python and Jupyter notebooks.
