Hello Pangeo!

ESA’s [EarthCODE](https://earthcode.esa.int/) Hackathon is coming up on 30 November - 4 December at ESA ESRIN in Frascati! It would be great to see the Pangeo community there.

Registration is open until the end of the month (30 October): [Registration – EarthCODE Hackathon 2026](https://esa-earthcode.github.io/2026-earthcode-hackathon/registration.html)

The hackathon will focus on working with ESA datasets from the [Open Science Catalog](https://opensciencedata.esa.int/products/catalog) across the Ocean, Polar and Carbon clusters, collaborating on open tools and cross-disciplinary science.

The cubes and data analysis over these were predominantly created using the Pangeo environments and tools; I’ll give a talk about this early next month: [Pangeo Showcase: “Building Analysis-Ready Antarctic Data Cubes with Pangeo” (November 11, 12 PM EST / 17:00 UTC)](https://discourse.pangeo.io/t/pangeo-showcase-building-analysis-ready-antarctic-data-cubes-with-pangeo-november-11-12-pm-est-17-00-utc/5851)

There’s travel support available for early career scientists from ESA Members States!
